A Rosy Bargain

I had a rather unusual day on Saturday, I helped out with Debenhams wedding fair and was roped into being the bride for their fashion show! Having never even been near a wedding dress before, it was quite an experience! My favourite part was seeing the little volunteer bridesmaids and pageboys who looked absolutely ADORABLE.

Afterwards, I picked up this gorgeous floral skater dress from Fuse @ Debenhams for £10! When facing that age old dilemma of dressing up v. baltic conditions it can be quite difficult to find a compromise, so I teamed this dress with some nice thick tights, boots and a leather jacket and headed out into the snow in search of red wine and karaoke.

Printed Pins

Leggings have become increasingly daring since their noughties revival with patterns, colours and textures EVERYWHERE this winter. Leading the way in luscious lycra is without a doubt Australian brand Black Milk Clothing, who have a cult following of devoted fans called 'Sharkies' who know a good thing when they see it.

I've fallen completely in love with their art inspired leggings and have been unable to find anything that comes close to their beauty in the UK.

'UNEARTHLY DELIGHTS'
These leggings feature the third panel of Hieronymus Bosch's 'Garden of Earthly Delights' triptych (a painting in three parts) which depicts the fall of mankind and our descent into hell. It shouldn't work, but it does.

'CALL OF NAPOLEAN'
These leggings depict 'Ossian Receiving the Ghosts of Fallen French Heroes' by Anne-Louis Girodet de Roucy-Triosson. The contrast of dark and light give them a really expensive feel. Stunning.

'KLIMT'
Finally my favourite painting, 'Der Kuss' by Gustav Klimt that has been recreating on a innumerable amount of products over the years but these leggings really stand out. A favourite with Black Milk, this time the legs mirror each other with the sleeping woman's face on each thigh. Perfect for those who prefer a more idyllic scene gracing their legs.
